About Two
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Two, a spirited 5-year-old Husky and Pointer mix who arrived at Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Control weighing just over 50 pounds. Two, along with his companions, was surrendered due to his previous owner's unexpected medical challenges, resulting in these eager pups seeking homes where their need for a dynamic lifestyle can be fulfilled. Raised as working dogs and described as excellent sled dogs, they are strong pullers who thrive on both mental and physical stimulation and are known to get along well with other dogs. Having lived primarily outdoors in dog houses, they enjoyed the warmth of being inside during extremely cold weather but are not yet housebroken. If you are planning to transition them into indoor living, patience and guidance will be required, as they will need to learn potty training, kennel training, and basic house manners. They are familiar with mushing commands and are eager for activities and adventures such as skijoring, bikejoring, or hiking. These dogs would be ideal partners for someone with an energetic lifestyle who can continue to stimulate and challenge them. If you're considering welcoming Two or perhaps more of this special crew into your home, the shelter invites you to reach out for a meeting. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
