About Leonidas

Meet Leonidas, affectionately known as Leo! This sweet boy, located in Bullard, TX, is a gentle Great Dane puppy with a heart as big as his paws. As a 4-month-old, Leo is a calm and affectionate little guy who loves snuggling up with his favorite people and canine companions. While most pups are bundles of energy, Leo enjoys a more relaxed pace. He has playful moments, but those are often followed by long, cozy naps. Poddling around with his foster brother or lounging in the sun are among his favorite activities. Leo thrives on companionship and becomes especially close to those who offer him patience and understanding. He is timid in new situations but quickly warms up to calm approaches. Even at the vet's office, he radiates affection. Although he is progressing in house training, Leo currently needs someone to accompany him outside, as he feels uncertain navigating the yard without a trusted human. He is also slowly adapting to crate training and can handle up to an hour alone with gradual exposure. Positive reinforcement works wonders with him since he's highly food-motivated. Living with both a larger dog and a calm cat, Leo does well with both but should be introduced to new companions thoughtfully. His playful spirit may frighten smaller animals, and he has had appropriate interactions with older children but may be nervous around younger ones. His ideal home would be calm and loving, ideally with another gentle dog to help him build confidence. He’s not looking for action-packed adventures but a cozy space to feel safe and included. Leo is ready to become the sweetest companion, waiting for a family to call his own. Could you be the one to help him blossom? Click apply to start the adoption process.
