About Available for Adoption Emily

Emily is a gentle soul who loves attention and affection. She flops over for belly rubs the moment she meets someone new and has been terrific with kids aged 3 to 7. While she's fine with dogs, she has a strong prey drive and would not do well with cats or small animals. In the house, Emily is a calm presence, preferring to lounge around and soak up the sun rather than play with toys. She’s food motivated, making treat-based mental games a hit for her. Emily is house trained and does well when left uncrated for several hours, transitioning smoothly into nap mode after a brief period of settling down. She's mastered basic commands and enjoys her daily walks—roughly 4 to 5 miles, though she’d likely love more. However, she needs a secure yard to roam as she thoroughly enjoys sniffing and rolling around. Since Emily is an escape artist, she'll need a secure 6-foot fence to prevent any daring escapes while outside. Being around loud noises can make her anxious, so a peaceful environment is ideal. This sweet girl is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and healthy. It's important for potential adopters to commit to annual Leishmaniasis testing, which is a requirement due to her background. Emily will thrive in a home where she can explore the outdoors. If you're looking for a loving companion who enjoys life's simpler things, Emily may just be your perfect match! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
