About Available for Adoption Russell

Russell is looking for a forever home where he can share his love and energy. He’s a friendly and affectionate 3-year-old Pointer who thrives on companionship. Although he can be shy with strangers at first, once comfortable, he opens up and loves to give hugs. He’s particularly fond of older children, so a family with kids over seven would be a perfect fit for him. Russell is great with other dogs, having formed a bond with a shy friend at the rescue. While he’s eager to play, he truly cherishes being close to his people, whether that’s cuddling on the couch or enjoying outdoor adventures. Training is ongoing, and Russell has mastered commands like "Sit" and "Lay Down" while we work on leash manners. His previous food insecurities are improving, and he’s learning to eat at a calmer pace. Daily exercise is important for this active boy; he loves his walks and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard or regular outdoor explorations. With a strong focus on people, Russell will happily join you for movie nights or just hang around as you go about your day. In excellent health, he’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Future adopters should be prepared for annual tests due to his history in Greece, ensuring he stays healthy long-term. Overall, Russell is a wonderful companion just waiting for a loving family to call his own. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
