About Available for Adoption Ruby

Ruby is a sociable young dog eager to meet new friends. She gets excited around people, often jumping for joy, but is easily redirected and settles down quickly. With a gentle disposition, Ruby is affectionate with adults, kids, and even other dogs, as long as they are respectful. She can be a little shy with rougher dogs but will engage playfully once she feels comfortable. At just two years old, Ruby is learning her manners but still needs guidance with behaviors like jumping and pulling on walks. She’s not fully house trained yet, but her foster family has seen her make great strides. Ruby has enjoyed car rides, though she would be safer secured in the back seat. An active pup, Ruby needs a family that can keep her energetic spirit in check. Regular exercise through leashed walks or a fenced yard where she can run around will keep her happy and healthy. While she has a lovely temperament and loves cuddles, she may try to chase squirrels, so a bit of caution is advised. Ruby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She tested negative for Leishmaniasis before arriving in the U.S., but her new family should commit to annual testing for several years. This sweet dog flourishes with human interaction and is ready to coexist harmoniously with a loving family. Committing to some training and offering consistent exercise and affection will ensure Ruby becomes a wonderful and loyal companion. Get ready for loads of cuddles!
