Sally is a charming 11-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 11 lbs. She's a small female with a short coat in vibrant red, chestnut, and orange hues. Currently, she’s house trained and spayed, showing her readiness for a loving forever home. Living in Rockville, MD, she's also up to date on her vaccinations.

About Sally

Sally has endured 11 long years outdoors, and she’s finally safe and sound inside. After her owner went into assisted living, her family surrendered her, fearing for her safety. We stepped in to ensure she would not face any threats, like snakes, again. She recently had a mass removed from her back and underwent a hernia repair. Thankfully, she’s recovering nicely, but Sally will need some cozy outfits to keep warm since her fur is a bit sparse now. With good vision and hearing, she's still quite mobile. She enjoys leisurely walks and exploring the yard, but prefers to avoid daunting full sets of stairs. Sally behaves well on a leash and likes car rides. She sleeps soundly at night and is progressing with housetraining, although having potty pads around is always a good backup plan. Her favorite activities include nibbling on veggie chews, keeping a watchful eye during meal times, sprinting on the bed, and bestowing kisses on her humans—whether they ask for them or not. In her new home, Sally hopes for lots of cuddles, a dog buddy to share adventures with, and, of course, no snakes! She has a habit of stealing small items left at her level to keep as treasures.
