About Claire
Claire is a tiny, furniture-scaling woodland sprite who dances through the home by launching herself from one surface to another. She hops from couch to chair with the confidence of someone who never worries about bills, suggesting a whimsical cat-like lineage. Arriving painfully bony and obviously hungry, she has thrown herself into gaining weight with enthusiasm. Meal times are especially exciting for her. Claire is great on the leash and enjoys car rides. When left alone, she can be trusted to not destroy anything, although she may engage in creative parkour. Although she came in with some masses on her mammary glands and rear end, they don’t require medical care at this moment. She can navigate stairs easily and has no issues with her sight or hearing. Her ideal home includes another dog, a fenced yard, and humans who are around most of the time for cuddles and snacks. Claire thrives in a quiet environment as loud voices can startle her. She is sweet, smart, and responds well to correction, making her a great companion for someone eager to pamper her. Her grooming skills, particularly with nail trims, leave something to be desired, but she's cooperative otherwise. While Claire is working on her housetraining, she still needs some help. She's somewhat potty pad trained but might see rugs as extra pads, so a diaper could assist while she establishes better habits.
