About Fiona

Meet Fiona! Fiona is a spirited three-year-old American Pitbull Terrier in Amherst, MA, bursting with affection, curiosity, and playful enthusiasm. Her beautiful tan coat with white accents complements her lively personality. At about 45 pounds, she’s a medium-sized girl with a big heart for her favorite humans. Whether she’s curled up by your feet, stretched out on the couch, or resting her head in your lap, she thrives on companionship. When it’s time to play, Fiona is all in! She excels at catching frisbees and enjoys tug-of-war, chew time, sniffing adventures, and even car rides. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations. Fiona knows a range of commands, including sit, down, come, and place, showcasing her eagerness to learn. An experienced pet parent who uses positive reinforcement will help her continue to develop her skills. Fiona does best as the only dog in her new home due to past conflicts with other dogs. She can misread signals from dogs asking for space. While she’s been around cats without incident, her compatibility with them is uncertain. Fiona may be suitable for homes with older children, but her strength makes homes with small children less ideal. Though thunderstorms make her nervous and fireworks are particularly stressful for her, Fiona takes medication for environmental allergies and has no other known medical concerns.
