About Hero Sussex

Hero Sussex is a remarkable 1-year-old, 6 lb Chihuahua with a story that truly embodies resilience. She's a survivor from a mass hoarding incident where over 40 small dogs were abandoned across northern NJ. Despite the harrowing experience, Hero shone as a beacon of hope, bravely guiding rescuers to her best friend, Tiny Tim, who was in dire need. Now residing with her foster hero, Hero has transformed from a terrified, cold soul wandering alone to a loving companion eager for a forever home. This little dynamo loves playing and races around with boundless energy, quickly turning any space into her personal adventure course. Hero gets along well with other dogs; therefore, she'll thrive best with a furry friend by her side. Though timid initially, she warms up to those who take the time to understand her. She enjoys belly rubs and will happily commandeer your lap once she feels safe. Hero uses pee pads indoors, and while she's playful, her mischievous side can lead her to undesirable chewing habits, so prepare to provide plenty of toys. Spayed and up to date on vaccinations, Hero Sussex is ready to find her true protector. If you feel that connection, apply to welcome this brave little warrior into your life. Your new best friend is waiting!
