Linda
AvailableLinda is a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix with a small frame and a short, white and brown coat. She’s a spayed female, considered a senior at nine years old, but is now healthy beyond ongoing thyroid management and maintaining a healthy weight. She’s currently in Oak Ridge, NJ, and up to date on vaccinations. Linda is looking for a special person able to handle her specific medical and behavioral needs.
About Linda
Linda is a small but memorable character with a long, winding history. She landed at the rescue after her previous family couldn’t keep up with medical issues—at one point, she nearly died from a uterine infection before getting spayed. When she arrived, she was struggling with severe obesity and thyroid problems, barely able to catch her breath just walking to the yard. With the right meds and a tough diet, Linda is finally slimming down and breathing easy again, starting to act more like herself. Linda’s a personality you don’t forget. She’s all Chihuahua in attitude—guarded, opinionated, and not into cuddling or sudden hands in her space. She’ll come looking for attention on her own terms, but doesn’t tolerate much fuss. She’s getting more comfortable, tail wagging as she follows her people, but affection is always on her schedule, not yours. She gets along well with other small dogs and would do best in an adult home with folks who appreciate her quirks and strong opinions. She’s nine, with her main health challenges under control, and deserves a place where she can be herself without pressure. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
