About Linda
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Linda! She’s a one-of-a-kind little big dog who’s overcome a lot in her journey. When she arrived at the rescue, Linda was battling significant health issues and weighed in at a hefty 33 pounds—her size made even the simplest activities, like going outdoors, a real struggle. After discovering her hypothyroid condition, a daily pill and a dedicated diet have made all the difference, and Linda is finally shedding the pounds and feeling much better. She is spayed and has her vaccinations up to date, so she’s ready to continue her path toward good health. Linda’s personality is as unique as her story. With that classic Chihuahua confidence, she isn’t a fan of strangers or being handled unexpectedly, and she likes attention only on her own terms. As she’s settled in, Linda’s shown she enjoys following her humans and wagging her tail, but she’s not one for cuddles, preferring to keep things independent. She gets along well with other dogs—especially small ones—and enjoys relaxing with a little pack, but her social skills shine brightest with canines rather than people. Now approximately 9 years old and thriving aside from her ongoing thyroid management and weight journey, Linda is looking for an adult-only home that will appreciate her snarky, independent spirit. If you’re looking for a companion who values her freedom and personality, Linda could be the perfect fit. This could be the start of something paw-some.

Questions about Linda
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier mixes usually do best in homes that can provide a cozy indoor environment and a secure outdoor space. They thrive with attentive owners who understand their spunky personalities.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A small to medium fenced yard or regular walks provide enough outdoor space for a Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. Their energy levels can vary, but they generally don't require large areas to be happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
These mixes can be suitable for homes with older, respectful children, but their independent and sometimes snarky nature may not be ideal for very young kids. Socialization from an early age can help them adjust.
