About Teddy

Meet Teddy, a gentle 4-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a fluffy white and tan coat. Weighing in at 16 pounds, he may look larger due to his beautiful fur. Though shy at first, he can be playful and affectionate once comfortable. Teddy enjoys the company of other dogs and teases the elderly dog in his foster home, showing his friendly nature. Teddy does best in a household with experienced dog owners and individuals who understand introverted dogs. He would thrive in a family with children over ten years old who know how to interact respectfully with small dogs. Teddy would also appreciate having a fenced yard, though daily walks will suffice if not. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and has excellent house manners. To ensure a loving environment for Teddy, potential adopters must be home most of the day and capable of letting him sleep in their bedroom or even on their bed. Living within 25 miles of Eden Prairie, MN is preferred, and attending the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion in September would be wonderful. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
