Sometimes her excitement results in a high-pitched squeal, but thankfully it’s brief. Due to her vocal nature, an apartment setting may not be ideal for her. She’s in the process of learning how to be a dog, happily playing and snuggling with her foster puppy sister, while also respecting the older dog's space and sometimes coexisting with the resident cats. Layla treasures her Lamby stuffed toy, enjoys being close to her humans, and thrives on good snuggles. She's doing well in her crate, and might give a little high-pitched greeting before settling down. Layla's journey from a skinny, itchy dog found wandering alone to a healthy, affectionate companion is remarkable. Now, she seeks a forever home ready to embrace her quirky, talkative, food-loving self. Could you be the one for Layla? She’ll be arriving in Minnesota on October 10, 2026. You must pick her up at Ruff Start Rescue’s office in Princeton, MN, between 9 a.m. and noon.
