About Wilford

Meet Wilford! Wilford is a 1.5-year-old Chinese Crested mix who believes his humans are the most fascinating beings around—and he has a good reason for that. He’s friendly toward other dogs and cats, though he tends to ignore them in favor of his human companions. This little guy thrives on attention and is happiest when he’s close to his people. With his impressive house training, he shows his intelligence and eagerness to please. One thing to know: Wilford isn’t fond of crates. Instead, he prefers to be out and about with his family, so a home where someone is around often would be perfect. He would do best in a space without shared walls to keep his happiness intact. Wilford requires an adult-only home that is ready for a loyal little shadow. After joining the rescue as heartworm positive, he’s currently in treatment and will be retested in August 2027. If you’re searching for a sweet, people-loving companion who considers being your constant sidekick his main job, Wilford is eager to meet you. Wilford is being fostered in Mead, Colorado. Prospective adopters should be aware that they must come to Colorado to adopt, as we do not transport dogs.
