About Rex

Meet Rex, a sweet and snuggly 6-month-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix weighing about 5 lbs. This little guy is a bundle of joy who loves people and enjoys playing with toys. When playtime concludes, he's happy to curl up with his favorite humans for some quality cuddle time. Rex gets along well with other dogs and sleeps peacefully in his crate, sharing space with his brother. Rex is still mastering potty training and is a bit protective of his space and treasured yak cheese. With continued guidance, he'll learn that he doesn't need to defend his favorite items. He's also a picky eater, so mealtime might need some flexibility! Having sustained an injury as a young pup, Rex's front right leg has healed at an odd angle, but it doesn't cause him pain. He runs and plays with the leg, though future supportive care or an amputation might be needed as he grows. Rex is in search of a family to help him navigate puppyhood, build his confidence, and offer plenty of opportunities for play, learning, and snuggling. Rex is currently fostered in Mead, CO. *Adopters must visit Colorado to meet Rex as we do not transport dogs.* Click apply to start the adoption process.
