About Chunk
Chunk is a testament to second chances. Picked up as a stray and nearly out of time in a Houston shelter, he found rescue thanks to a foster willing to see past his tough exterior. At around 45 pounds, this compact bully/bulldog mix stands out not just for his blocky build but his distinct look—Chunk is missing most of his right ear and has a scatter of old scars across his head, yet he doesn’t let any of that slow him down. He’s healthy, hears just fine, and acts like every day is a gift. People get a big welcome from Chunk—he gets along with everyone he meets and loves being part of the action. He does best as the only dog in the home (unless his pal Haven tags along), and a cat-free home is important, since he has a strong desire to chase. He’s crate and house trained, picks up a household routine quickly, and knows how to be the center of attention. Expect plenty of klutzy antics, a goofball spirit, and a loyal shadow always close by. Chunk wants nothing more than someone to laugh with, lean on, and love without reservation. If you’re a homebody looking for an earnest sidekick, he’s ready to join your crew.
