About Ben
Meet Ben, a gentle soul on a journey to find his forever home. This sweet Great Dane may be a big dog, but at heart, heβs still a timid puppy learning to trust the world around him. Ben craves safety and love, and he thrives in a calm environment where he feels secure. He adores being petted, often reminding you with a gentle paw to continue if you stop too soon. A low-maintenance guy, Ben's perfect day involves enjoying good food, plenty of affection, and cozy naps. Heβs housebroken and does wonderfully in the home, never getting into trouble. Although not particularly playful, he gets along beautifully with other large dogs and loves the company of children aged 5 to 15 years. However, heβs not sure about cats, as he hasnβt met any yet. Ben can be shy around new faces, preferring gentle interactions, especially as he's still adjusting to his new life. He's undergoing treatment for heartworm and two tick-borne diseases, so he needs an understanding family willing to work closely with their veterinarian. What matters most to Ben is a patient home that provides comfort and reassurance. He seeks a place where he can finally rest easy and enjoy the simple things, like a soft bed and a loving hand reassuring him he belongs. Could you be the one to show him heβs finally home?
