About Michelle

Meet Michelle, a lively 3-year-old spayed female Staffordshire Terrier mix weighing about 48 pounds. Currently in a loving foster home in Houston, Texas, she's eager to find her forever family and ready for transport to an approved adopter. Rescued from a high-kill shelter, Michelle has truly embraced her second chance at life. She's known for her friendly and affectionate nature, especially around her doggy foster siblings. While she's enthusiastic during play, she adjusts her energy well to match her friends' cues, ensuring fun without aggression. Michelle enjoys outdoor adventures and has a playful spirit, but she's also a calm companion inside, content to lounge and snooze. Having met children aged 8 and up, she shows her sweet side, though due to her excitement, a home with kids aged 12+ or savvy younger teens is recommended. Fully housebroken and crate trained, she comfortably spends time in her crate. While she responds well to training, she can be sneaky around food. Therefore, feeding separately and managing snack times are suggested. Michelle is making progress with leash training, and though she pulls a bit, continued practice will improve her walking manners. This adaptable dog would thrive in both rural and urban settings, provided she receives regular exercise.Michelle’s quirky and affectionate personality means she loves to stay close to her people, often cuddling up for attention. She’d do best in a home with another friendly dog and owners who can offer her the structure and playtime she needs. A joyful and loving companion, Michelle is ready to bring laughter and cuddles to her new family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
