About Finn

Meet Finn! This delightful young Great Pyrenees is about 11 months old and weighs around 60 pounds, though he's currently a bit underweight. With his silky, soft white fur featuring some charming tan patches, he’s a visually striking boy. Finn is goofy and affectionate, always eager to follow you around. He thrives on attention, especially when the kids return home from school. Though he tends to be shy with new people initially, once he warms up, his loving personality shines through. Leaning against you for pets is one of his favorite pastimes. He enjoys playtime with the large resident dog in his foster home, often initiating fun, mouthy play sessions. While he would love a playful companion in a forever home, he can also be content as the only dog as long as he gets to socialize with others. However, he may be too much for smaller dogs. Finn has a knack for toys, particularly loving to shred the soft ones. He is still learning which items around the house aren’t playthings, so he’s crated when left alone. He’s quite smart and has already mastered commands like 'Sit', 'Shake', 'High Five', 'Lay Down', 'Kennel', and is now working on 'Stay'. His love for treats helps in his training. He is house trained and getting used to walks, although he sometimes tries to slip out of his collar. He responds well to a harness and listens when asked to stop barking at passing dogs. Finn is a joyful and loving young dog waiting for a kind family to adopt him. Finn is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is currently in a foster home in the DFW area of Texas. Although out-of-state adoptions are welcome, adopters need to arrange their own transport. Adoption fee is $250. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
