About Koko
Meet Koko, formerly known as Koawa—his nickname is way easier to pronounce! At just 2 years old and weighing about 9 lbs, this tan and white Shih Tzu has gone through a lot. His past owner had to give him up, but with love and patience, he’s starting to feel at home. Initially a bit confused about his situation, Koko quickly warmed up, offering tiny kisses and getting comfortable. He prefers a calm environment and might feel uneasy around active or loud dogs and people since he has mainly been an only dog. While he can be shy and may hide at times, we witnessed him getting affectionate with another dog, showing signs that he’s learning to enjoy companionship. Koko is improving on the leash, but he still has some worries about new experiences. He’s a quiet fellow who only barks or growls to protect his loved ones. We believe Koko needs a home filled with love and gentle attention. Ideal for a family with kids over 8 who understand that dogs are not toys, Koko is affectionate once trust is established. This charming little guy is a character, and we are excited to watch him blossom into the wonderful companion he is meant to be. Does Koko sound like the perfect addition to your home?
