Bronco is a small, 15-pound, tricolored male who is a mix of Lhasa Apso, Shih Tzu, and Poodle breeds. Though he is not yet altered, he brings youthful energy and enjoys playful activities, especially with toys. Bronco is not fully house trained and currently resides at Lhasa Happy Homes Rescue. His ideal adopter will appreciate his spirited nature and ongoing journey with positive guidance.

This charming, 15 lb, tricolored mix of Lhasa Apso, Shih Tzu, and Poodle is three years young and brings both sweetness and an independent streak. Currently being cared for with the help of 4 Paws Kiddo Rescue, he’s looking for his perfect, experienced match. Bronco’s journey hasn’t been easy, having been surrendered after a bite incident. He doesn’t like being handled roughly, so he’s been working with a trainer toward building trust and desensitizing past fears. With strangers, Bronco can show some fear-based aggression, but once he’s comfortable, his loving and happy personality truly shines. His ideal home is one without children and with adults who know how to set gentle boundaries for “opinionated” pups. He loves to play, especially with toys, and is devoted to his people—be prepared to have a loyal shadow and taste-tester! Bronco has become much more polite during walks, responding well to positive reinforcement and even learning to ignore the distractions of city life. He can be vocal in an apartment setting when people pass by, but responds quickly to reminders. There’s no separation anxiety here—Bronco is content as long as he isn’t left alone often. He gets along well with other dogs after proper introductions and would also thrive as the only pet if his people work from home. While his potty training is improving, he’s still working on mastering it. Bronco’s dream is a home where rules and affection go hand-in-hand.
