Apollo's previous family dearly loved him, but due to an unfortunate eviction during a government shutdown, they had no choice but to give him up. Originally thought to be a mini Shih Tzu from a pet store, he is all Lhasa Apso in personality and looks, and perfectly sized for cuddling. When Apollo first arrived, he was reserved and shut down, but now greets his caregivers with happy circles and excitement. He dealt with a rough case of kennel cough and a double eye infection upon arrival, bravely taking his medication—even though he really didn’t like the stingy eye drops. Though he's doing better now, Apollo does have mild dry eye and will need daily ointment for comfort, so a home with adults who can manage this would be best.
