Meet Eevee! This sweet, long-haired strawberry blonde Miniature Dachshund mix is about 5 years old and weighs roughly 8 pounds. She recently visited the vet and received a clean bill of health. Although Eevee’s spay surgery and dental cleaning are coming up, they’ll be taken care of by Hope Animal Rescue. Eevee has a relaxed and well-mannered demeanor. She enjoys walks and loves to play fetch with her favorite balls. While she's friendly, she can be a bit selective about the people and dogs she warms up to. If she feels uncertain, she might communicate her need for space through growling or showing her teeth. Thus, she’d thrive with someone who understands her boundaries and gives her time to build trust. Once she feels safe, Eevee reveals her playful side. Currently, she’s living peacefully with other resident dogs but shows little interest in playing with them. It’s unclear whether she prefers her solitude or if she would enjoy the company of some doggy friends in an appropriate setting. Eevee is crate trained and making great strides in her house training.
