About Winston
Meet Winston! Winston is a playful Yorkie Poo, just shy of one year old, born November 20, 2026. He’s on the lookout for a loving forever home. Winston is very friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs. He loves kids and is a cuddly companion but also needs space to play and explore. This little guy tends to be an under-your-feet sort of dog. While he is protective of certain toys, making him less suitable for very small children or older adults, he’s still a wonderful companion. Currently, Winston is mostly potty trained but may revert to marking his territory in a new environment, so belly bands can help during the transition. Once he settles in, he should adjust quickly, as he has in his foster home. Crate training is in progress, and although he cries a bit at first, he calms down quickly. Winston has some resource guarding tendencies with specific toys, like kongs and dental chews, but he can drop them on command when asked firmly. He has never bitten but might growl when he feels the need to protect his toys. On the positive side, he loves being brushed and bathed, although his grooming experiences are still a bit of a learning curve for him. Ideal for an active family or as a devoted companion for an active adult, Winston enjoys spending time with his foster family, especially the older dog and the teenage boy.
