Rodger is a full-blooded Doberman who needs a medical foster home to address his health issues. Currently underweight at just over 80 lbs, he has muscle wasting around his hips and back legs from being confined in a crate for most of his life. Despite his challenges, Rodger is a big, strong boy, now gaining strength and building muscle. He is around 5-6 years old and requires multiple medical treatments for Lyme disease, skin infections, and various masses on his body, including an eyelid mass that needs removal. His medical needs include neutering, a gastropexy, dental cleaning, and several biopsies to rule out any serious conditions. Rodger has anxiety from limited exposure to the outside world and will benefit from anxiety medication and training once his medical issues are resolved. Despite everything, he is sweet and playful, especially enjoying games of fetch with tennis balls. He has been great with the other dogs he is currently being fostered with.
