At middle age, he's at a wonderful stage in life where he can bring joy and companionship to your family. Spike came to Nittany Beagle Rescue from a shelter after facing some tough times, including a few porcupine quills in his snout—hence his unique name. Though he's now recovering well, he may need some assistance getting used to indoor living, so patience with housetraining is a must. With a little encouragement and guidance from his new family, he’ll be a great housemate. Spike weighs around 24 lbs and has a short coat, making him a manageable size for most living situations.
