About Banana Bread Arriving

Meet Banana, a tiny Chihuahua with a big personality and strong opinions about her belongings. She’s incredibly sweet with her humans, often running to greet them with her tail wagging and settling down for affection. While she enjoys the company of other dogs in the yard, Banana does exhibit resource guarding behavior. She feels very strongly about her kennel, water bowl, and toys being exclusively hers, and will communicate her discomfort with growls or even a snap if someone encroaches on her space. Banana is clear about her boundaries, and in a home that respects her signals, she thrives as an affectionate companion. Her ideal adopter will understand resource guarding and create a safe environment for her without punishment. This lovely little dog requires someone who appreciates her personality and is willing to set boundaries. If you’re looking for a cuddly friend with attitude and charm, Banana is the one for you. Just be prepared for her to demand her space! She will be arriving in Minnesota on 09/12/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between 8:30 and 11:30 am. Make sure you plan accordingly for her arrival; she is available through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program.
