Phillis D is a sweet and gentle little girl who’s learning to enjoy life anew. She arrived from Texas feeling timid, but her charming personality has blossomed in foster care. In just a few days, she started meeting cats with curiosity, curling up with her Chihuahua siblings, and revealing her playful side beneath that initial shyness. This affectionate pup loves to snuggle, often hopping onto laps for cuddles or nudging your hand for some love. If she puts her front paws on your legs, it’s a clear sign she’s asking for affection. Each morning, she invites play with her friends, offering adorable bows and occasionally tossing socks around to entertain herself. Phillips is currently recovering from heartworm treatment and needs a calm environment, but she daydreams about running and playing freely once she's healed. Having a playful canine friend could enhance her journey. Phillis gets along well with other dogs and is calm around cats, sometimes even napping beside them. While she may feel shy towards new people, once she sniffs and feels comfortable, she’s eager to become friends. Smart and attentive, she’s mostly house-trained and currently using potty pads. As her activity level increases, she should transition to doing her business outside. Nighttime is peaceful for her, though she might need a bathroom break now and then. Phillis enjoys her crate but prefers snuggling up in bed with her humans—clearly, she knows what she likes.
