It's likely been confusing and scary for her, especially as she misses someone she loved deeply. Right now, Darcy is quite frightened and needs gentle handling. She won't rush to greet you; instead, she requires time to feel secure and build trust. With patience and love, we're hopeful she'll start to emerge from her shell. Darcy prefers a calm home environment without young children and has a tendency to bolt, so potential adopters must be vigilant with doors and gates. To keep her safe, Darcy needs to be securely leashed when outside. She didn't choose this upheaval; she deserves the chance to decompress and heal. If you have a quiet home, a patient heart, and the ability to provide her with the TLC she needs, Darcy Lynn just might be the companion you've been looking for.
