About Clara
Meet Clara, a wonderful one-year-old Lab/Husky mix who weighs about 40 pounds. Clara is a sweet and gentle girl searching for a patient family to help her navigate her new life. Though she came to Yakima Humane Society through Animal Control after facing some challenges, she is gradually discovering that the world can be a safe place. Currently, Clara is a bit timid and unsure in new environments, so it's best to keep her on a leash indoors at first. Allowing the leash to drag can help guide her safely while she adjusts. It’s advisable to walk her in a secure yard until she grows more comfortable with her new surroundings, as frightened dogs may try to escape when feeling overwhelmed. Clara would thrive in a calm home without young children. Although her true personality may not shine through immediately, there’s a sweet companion waiting to emerge. With a little patience, kindness, and consistency, she will blossom into a devoted friend. If you have a quiet home and the time to help this deserving dog build her confidence, Clara could be the perfect match for you. Your new best friend is just waiting for a loving home!
