About Chaparrito
Meet Chaparrito, affectionately known as Chapa. This playful 1-year-old Staffie mix is looking for his forever family. Weighing around 50 lbs, he’s got the personality to match. Chapa is crate and potty trained, neutered, and fully vaccinated. He’s currently fostered in Mooresville, NC but can be transported to an approved adopter out of state. Chapa is a bundle of joy filled with puppy energy, always ready for a morning zoom around the yard. Once his playful side has had its fill, he loves to settle down and cuddle with his human. Extremely food motivated, Chapa thrives on training and is eager to learn, although he can be a bit stubborn at times. On leash walks, he doesn’t pull and gets along well with other dogs—especially if they are female. He has been around cats and is playful, although he may chase if they run. Ideally, a cat-savvy owner would help him navigate those interactions. Chapa is good with children but would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy kids who can respect his boundaries. While he has experienced some separation anxiety when crated, he is learning to relax over time. Chapa communicates well and will let you know when he needs a break from play. His new home should be patient and ready to help him adjust, ideally with someone familiar with bully breeds. If you’re looking for a silly, loyal companion who needs a loving atmosphere to flourish, Chapa might just be the dog for you. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
