Meet Michelle! She’s a spayed female Staffordshire Terrier mix, about three years old, currently in a foster home in Houston, Texas. Weighing around 48 pounds, she's eagerly awaiting her forever family. Rescued from euthanasia at a high-kill shelter, Michelle has truly embraced her second chance at life. With an incredibly friendly and affectionate nature, Michelle loves playing and snuggling with her doggy foster siblings. Although she can get a bit carried away during playtime, her enthusiasm is never aggressive. She adjusts her energy according to her friends’ cues and thrives on their companionship. Michelle enjoys running outside and has plenty of playful energy, but she also knows how to wind down. Inside, she’s a mellow companion who loves lounging and snoozing. She’s been great with children aged 8 and up but can be a jumper when excited, so a home with teens 12+ or dog-savvy kids is ideal. Fully housebroken and crate trained, Michelle comfortably hangs out in her crate during the day. She’s food motivated and learns quickly, although she can be a bit sneaky around treats. Her leash manners still need work, as she tends to pull ahead during walks. She also loves to chew, particularly on sticks, so supervision is key, especially since she’s known to escape when given the chance. Quirky and affectionate, Michelle loves being near her humans, often inching her way onto your lap.
