Helga is a sweet pup who found herself in a tough situation after ending up in a shelter in Alabama. Due to her head tilt, she was at risk of being put on the dreaded E-list. Fortunately, a visit to the vet revealed a bad ear infection, and with treatment, her head tilt is improving. While we can't guarantee it will completely resolve, her progress gives us hope. Estimated to be around a year old and weighing 45 lbs, Helga has a calm and pleasant demeanor, making her a must-save rescue. She walks normally despite her head tilt and seems to get along well with other dogs, though she doesn’t show much interest in playing with them. A home with another calm dog or two would likely suit her well. Helga is currently in Alabama, but we’re eager to bring her to Maine this fall where she can find her forever home.
