About Anubis

Anubis is a shepherd mix puppy with a lot of spirit and a second chance at life. Just 9 months old, he's full of energy and always up for play, especially if other dogs are involved. Anubis is neutered, current on all his vet care, and available under a foster-to-adopt contract, so he's set to join a new home any day. He gets along with kids, cats, and dogs, and genuinely enjoys the company of just about everyone he meets. Having nearly faced euthanasia at 6 months due to typical adolescent mouthing, he was lucky enough to get a lifeline. His puppy behaviors are normal for his age, and Anubis has made good progress learning basic skills. He's clean slate and ready to adapt to a new routine. He thrives in homes with other playful dogs and will do best if he has a regular canine pal. If you don't already have a companion for him, the rescue even offers an option to adopt a second dog so he always has a playmate. Anubis does have some frustration around barriers like fences and can feel limited on a leash, but when given proper introductions without these obstacles, he gets along with dogs of all sizes. His energy and sociability are huge assets, and training support comes included with his adoption in Orford, NH—either in class or privately. This puppy is ready for fun, experienced owners to help him grow up into a confident adult. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
