About Silver
Meet Silver! This German Shepherd is all personality—goofy, playful, and always looking to make you smile. He’s tuned into people, quick to learn, and thrives when he feels like part of the crew. After spending his early life as a 'COVID dog' living protectively with an elderly person, Silver didn’t get much socialization at first, but he makes up for it with a huge, loving heart. He’s done well with children in the past and loves to play, especially if there’s a game of fetch or a good splash in the water involved. Silver bonds strongly and shows real loyalty, especially to his inner circle. He gets along well with dogs his size or bigger—rough-and-tumble is right up his alley—but cats or small animals aren’t a fit for him. Because he can be protective, he’ll need a home with a fenced-in yard or a family committed to always having him on leash. Silver is crate trained, house trained, and working on leash manners; to ease the transition, private training sessions with a certified trainer come included. This dog brings energy, affection, and fun to everything he does. If you're looking for a canine adventurer who’s up for hikes, runs, and action, Silver ticks the box. He doesn’t do separation anxiety, but he does hate missing out—expect a bit of FOMO if the fun starts without him. Silver is located in Bridgton, ME. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Silver
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
German Shepherds like Silver tend to thrive in homes that offer plenty of space and structure. They do best with owners who provide clear boundaries and regular activity, making them a good match for active households.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Silver will need access to a spacious yard or regular outings to burn off energy. German Shepherds benefit from room to run and play, so an apartment with minimal outdoor space is not ideal unless paired with frequent exercise.
