He’s affectionate, energetic, and endlessly curious, always finding ways to bring laughter to those he loves. Whether he’s exploring on an off-leash walk, chasing a rock with impressive enthusiasm, or searching for chipmunks, Taco brings warmth, loyalty, and entertainment wherever he goes. He's a well-trained companion, knowing commands like sit, stay, and shake, and comes running when he hears a whistle. Taco thrives on a predictable routine, and he particularly enjoys long walks and opportunities to stretch his legs. Though he has a sensitive digestive system due to parvovirus as a puppy, he’s house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Taco needs a loving home where he can be the only pet, ideally with experienced adopters who can provide a calm, predictable routine. He's been relaxed and playful in a home without dogs or young children, and he requires management around unfamiliar dogs due to a bite history related to resource guarding. Taco is currently boarding with a professional trainer who is giving him the support he needs and has offered a complimentary consultation to his adopters to ensure a smooth transition. He is compatible with older, respectful children who can understand his need for personal space.
