Happy is a delightful 1.5-year-old pocket pittie, bulldog, boxer, and Boston terrier mix, tipping the scales at around 35 pounds. True to her name, she radiates joy and affection, greeting everyone with a full-body wiggle. Adults, seniors, and kids? She adores them all! While she thrives with kids 8 and up—who can respect her sleeping space—she may startle if woken suddenly, as she is deaf. Potty trained and crate trained, Happy knows eight hand commands including sit, stay, and touch. Transitioning her into a new home will be a breeze as her foster is eager to share these commands with her future family. Low energy and easygoing, Happy enjoys lounging in the yard or taking gentle strolls to sniff her surroundings. She doesn't pull on the leash and even loves being carried in a backpack for longer outings. Happy prefers to be the solo star of her home, as she has difficulties interpreting social cues from other pets due to her deafness. While she can initially get along with dogs and is curious about cats, she often ends up annoying them more than they’d like.
