About Queenie
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Queenie is a stunning 4-year-old, 70-pound pit mix who truly embodies the term "gentle giant." Overflowing with energy and always ready to play, Queenie has no sense of personal space and enjoys being as close to you as possible—she is happiest with her sweet face and wagging tail right by your side. She would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal and loving cuddle buddy. During her over 2.5-year stay at WCHS, Queenie has become a favorite among the shelter staff, who are all enchanted by her affectionate and goofy personality. While she can be a bit timid when meeting new people, she quickly blossoms into a playful lovebug. She adores giant rope toys, hard chew bones, and running in the fenced outdoor pens, plus she looks forward to every stroll with her favorite humans. Queenie will thrive in a home where she is the only pet, as she would do best without other dogs or cats. A home without young kids is also preferred. Due to allergies, she sticks to a fish-based sensitive skin and stomach diet and takes Apoquel daily. Born under the sign of Taurus, Queenie is loyal, loving, and steadfast. Give her the loving home she's been waiting for! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
