Meet Appletini. Appletini's journey began as a stray, finding her way to our local animal control where we learned she was very pregnant. We stepped in to help her avoid bringing her puppies into the world from a kennel. She arrived at her foster home on April 3rd and welcomed eight beautiful puppies just 60 hours later. Initially scared and unsure, Appletini quickly warmed up enough to trust her foster family. Once her puppies arrived, she became fiercely protective, and no one could enter the room without her permission. Patience and kindness slowly helped her understand she was safe. Now, all her puppies have found loving homes, and Appletini herself is blossoming into a playful, affectionate girl. As she continues to gain confidence, she’s learning what it means to just be a dog. She seeks a family who recognizes that trust must be earned, not rushed. Appletini is working on her social skills around other dogs, and with the right nurturing, she has the potential to thrive. The good stuff includes being spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, house trained, and kennel trained. She’s absolutely adorable too! Every story has its quirks, and Appletini is no exception. She requires time to build trust, may have a playful side resembling a mud puppy, and often carries her toys outside only to forget them there. Appletini has overcome so much and now just needs a patient, loving family to continue her journey.
