About Piper
Meet Piper! A joyful two-year-old Pharaoh Hound/American Pitbull Terrier mix currently in Amherst, MA, Piper is a little beam of sunshine with an irresistible zest for life. At 31 pounds, she’s compact yet full of energy, sporting a sleek brown coat with a white chest and eyes that gleam with curiosity. Having moved past neglect, she now radiates joy, trust, and playfulness. Piper loves people and excels at cuddling. Whether she’s zipping through the yard with her favorite toy or chasing her buddies, she brings spark to every moment. With her athletic build, Piper is perfect for an active family that can keep pace and provide plenty of playtime. Walks, runs, backyard games, and brainy enrichment are right up her alley! She’s house-trained and crate-trained, already knows basic commands like sit, down, and stay, and enjoys meeting new friends with affectionate wiggles and hugs! Piper is wonderful with children and gets along well with other dogs that share her playful spirit. However, she has a strong prey drive, so she isn’t suitable for homes with cats or small animals. She thrives in a loving environment that sets her up for success with clear boundaries and engaging challenges. Though high energy, Piper knows when to settle down, happily curling up beside her favorite person for some snuggles post-playtime. She's sensitive to loud noises, so having a cozy, quiet spot is essential for her when things get lively. Piper shares a sweet bond with George, her calm companion. They’d love to be adopted together, but each is ready to start a new chapter individually as well. Could your home be the one where Piper’s joy takes flight? If you're interested in giving Piper a loving home, reach out for more details about adopting her. Remember, Piper is open to long-distance adoption!
