Clementine is a precious Shih Tzu who came into the care of Animal Saints Rescue Society after her previous owner faced serious health challenges. She’s about 3-4 years old and weighs a tiny 7.5 pounds, with a lovely long coat showcasing hues of apricot, beige, and tricolor shades. This little girl is spayed and fully vaccinated, having received comprehensive medical care since arriving at the sanctuary. Her personality is a mix of sweetness and shyness. Clementine takes time to warm up to new people, displaying an impressive loyalty once she does. It will require patience and consistency to build this connection; expect to invest several visits before she truly trusts you. For her safety, a securely fenced yard is non-negotiable. Although she's learning to enjoy her outdoor time, walks will be a future milestone as she gains confidence. Clementine is particularly comfortable around her fellow Animal Saints and thrives with small dog companions, including her sister Marigold, who is also available for adoption. She enjoys lounging on soft surfaces and watching her surroundings from her cozy pillow. This little observer is starting foundational training to learn basic commands, with expectations that her new family will continue fostering her growth as she adapts to a loving home. An ideal home for Clementine would be where someone is around most of the time. She’ll share your sofa and bedroom, needing companionship to feel secure. For her comfort, older children who have experience with dogs will be considered.
