About Jemma

Meet Jemma, a lovely 5-year-old Shih Tzu, seeking her forever home. She came to us through Animal Saints Rescue Society after her previous owner faced serious medical challenges. Now that she’s received all necessary medical care, including vaccinations and a spay procedure, she’s blossomed into a gentle companion ready to connect with her new family. Jemma has a beautiful brown and tan coat, requiring regular grooming every 4-6 weeks since she has hair, not fur. She is small and calm, weighing around 9 pounds. Her soulful eyes reveal her caring nature. Jemma is a social butterfly at the sanctuary, often one of the first to greet volunteers with a wagging tail, eager for affection. She thrives in environments where someone is home often, ideally with no crates in sight. While she would enjoy the company of other dogs, her heart's desire is to bond closely with a human. Jemma is currently learning basic commands, and it would be wonderful for her new family to continue her training. If you can offer her a loving home where she can share the couch and even the bed, Jemma might just be the perfect addition to your family. Ready to welcome this sweet girl into your life?
