About Betty

Betty is a lovely 2-year-old female Labrador Retriever mix, brought in on June 29, 2026, after being found on County House Lane in Marietta, Ohio. A Good Samaritan kept her and her companion, Barney, safe until they could be taken to the shelter. Betty has a sleek black coat featuring a narrow black and white vertical stripe on her chest, alongside floppy ears and sad-looking eyes that tug at your heartstrings. With a friendly yet demure personality, Betty seeks guidance and reassurance from people, making her a gentle presence. She walks beautifully on a leash, weighing about 40 lbs. Unfortunately, despite being on hold for their owners, no one came to reclaim her by July 12, 2026. Betty has not been spayed or vaccinated yet, so her new family will need to manage that. If you're ready to bring this sweet girl into your home, take the next step. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
