Meet Shannee! Shannee is a wonderful 2-year-old girl weighing 70 lbs. She's loving, intelligent, housetrained, and crate-trained, with markings suggesting she might be a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog mix. Rescued from the Navajo Reservation, her name Alishannee means "she who plays all day." You might remember her puppy pictures; she's just as adorable now! Shannee knows all her basic commands and could easily take on agility training. She has a delightful bounding style in the yard, reminiscent of a deer! She is sociable with cats and older kids, but a home without young children would be best. At boarding, she gets along well with other dogs, and she enjoys bully sticks and dog bones. Although she walks well on a leash, she tends to pull when chasing after squirrels or rabbits, as any dog would. The reason she needs a new home is that her owner is facing health issues and can’t walk her as often as she needs. Shannee would thrive in a home with a big yard or even acreage, where she can roam.
