About Rennie
Rennie is a sweet little lady who has seen hard times. This 4-year-old was found wandering alone, hoping someone would come for her, but unfortunately, no one did. With a fresh look and a heart full of hope, she’s ready to find a loving family that will cherish her forever. Playful and friendly, Rennie enjoys exploring her surroundings and loves to be near people she trusts. She's learned that mealtime is even better with company, as she dislikes eating alone or in her crate. This shows her longing for the companionship that’s been missing for so long. Rennie has met other small dogs during her time in care and got along well with them. As for cats, any introductions should be approached with caution and patience to ensure everyone's comfort. Given her small size, she’s best suited for a home with children aged 12 and older, though gentle younger children could also be a good fit if they know how to treat a small dog kindly. Crate training will help her gain confidence while you're away and establish a comforting routine. With love and patience, she'll flourish into the companion she’s meant to be. After having experienced abandonment, Rennie deserves a family that promises to be there for her every day. Could you be the one to give her that forever home? Macomb County Animal Control welcomes visits M-F from 10 am to 4 pm. Your new best friend is waiting!
