Ewa's estimated birthdate is 9/18/2023. Little Ewa is a Shih Tzu who was very matted, had a raw neck from tick & flea collar and you could feel her ribs when the previous owners surrendered her to our rescue. After she was groomed, she was found to have an inguinal hernia and had sores on her body. She has gained weight and healing thanks to a loving foster home. Ewa was crated most of the time by her previous owners. She absolutely hates to be crated so she needs a forever home where she will NOT BE CRATED!! Ewa needs forever home where she has a consistent routine to help her build confidence and trust. She loves to run and play!! She enjoys being held and is sweet and cuddly. Ewa is not too fond of car rides. Very dog social. Unknown how she is with cats. Children 7 yrs old or older. Her forever home is REQUIRED to have a totally enclosed fenced yard. She had the inguinal hernia was repaired when she was spayed. Ewa is up to date on her vaccinations, on monthly heartworm preventative as well as house trained. Beautiful Ewa cannot wait to find a forever family who will love and spoil her for the rest of her life!!! All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs.
