About Dutch
Dutch is a striking 5.5-year-old black and tan male Doberman who weighs about 100 pounds. With a docked tail and natural ears, he’s not just handsome but also has a big heart. Dutch thrives on companionship and loves being close to his people, whether you’re watching TV or reading a book. He’s happiest when soaking up attention. Dutch is eager to be part of everyday life. He enjoys dinner outings, where he can lounge on the patio and soak in the atmosphere. He loves his walks, but watch out for squirrels; he can be reactive to small critters. It's best that he goes to a single-dog household without cats. Dutch is social with bigger dogs and is adaptable with some small dogs, but he truly flourishes as the only pet. He has some anxiety and prefers to stay close to his humans. When left alone, he’s more comfortable in a small area rather than a crate and keeps his emotional support chicken toy with him. Dutch would do best with experienced owners who can offer structure and guidance. He has a solid training foundation and is ready to continue learning. His dream home is one where he's not left alone for extended periods, as he loves being by your side. Dutch is currently fostered in Virginia and is available for adoption in MD, VA, DC, DE, eastern parts of WV, and southern parts of PA. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
