This sweet boy is the perfect blend of active and chill; his previous family described him as a "good dog" who is friendly, calm, and loves to relax just as much as he loves going for walks and exploring the outdoors. Ralphie is a smart cookie who already knows his name and the command for "sit." He is very food-motivated-he especially loves chicken and beef sticks!-and he is a true gentleman when it comes to snacks, taking treats very gently. He has experience living in a home with children and has a wonderfully social personality. When it's time to play, he enjoys durable chew toys, bones, and plush stuffed animals. Ralphie is mostly housebroken and is used to a consistent routine of two meals a day. While he can pull a little on the leash when he's curious about a new scent, he generally enjoys his walks and hanging out with his favorite people. Behavioral Notes 06/19/2026 per staff behavioral eval: Kennel Presentation: Jumped up on the front of his kennel when I approached, soft eyes, ears back, loose wiggly body. Took treats gently through the bars. Leash Skills: Tossed treats back to get him to hop off, once down opened the door and was easily leashed. Came out right away and walked loose leash, mid tail wags, loose body, ears to the side, stopped frequently to sniff. Sociability: Came over when called, soft eyes, mid tail wags, loose body. Allowed all handling with the same body language, started to get lightly mouthy and gently jumped up on me with handling. He is food motivated and took treats gently. Play: n/a Dog Interaction: Met a small dog through the fence, mid tail wags, loose body, ears back sniffing. Moved along by calling his name and light leash pressure. Return to Kennel: Walked back loose leash with the same body language as walking out, hopped right into kennel and leash was removed easily.
