Meet Maddie, a sweet brown and golden tabby who was rescued from a dire situation. She faced being euthanized due to her FIV+ status, but there's good news: cats with FIV can lead full, healthy lives. With regular veterinary care, a balanced diet, and an indoor lifestyle, FIV-positive kitties like Maddie can thrive just like any other cat. It's important to know that FIV is not contagious through shared food dishes or litter boxes. At Second Chance, many affectionate FIV cats have been happily adopted and have enjoyed peaceful coexistence with their feline friends. Though Maddie might seem a tad timid initially, she is anything but shy—this girl loves attention! She won't hesitate to roll around to show how much she enjoys pets, especially when it comes to her favorite butt scratches. Maddie also has a playful side, always ready to chase after a wand toy. She's ideal for any adopter: whether you're single, part of a couple, or have respectful older kids, Maddie would fit in seamlessly into your home. She gets along well with other cats as well, making her a candidate for a calm multi-cat household. Maddie is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and she was born on 04/14/2024. Her adoption fee is $95. If Maddie sounds like the perfect addition to your family, consider filling out an adoption application or visiting Second Chance Cats of West Michigan during their open hours.
