Meet Jersey! Jersey is a beautiful red tri female, estimated to be about 3 years old, weighing around 45 lbs, with a gentle heart and a resilient spirit. She came from a home with more than 60 dogs and limited human interaction, so the world was a very overwhelming place for her at first. Since arriving in her foster home, Jersey has made remarkable progress and is blossoming into the confident, loving dog she was always meant to be. Jersey is sensitive, sweet, and deeply affectionate once she feels safe. She often seeks comfort by gently burrowing in for kisses and love nibbles. Her kennel remains her safe space, and she uses it to decompress when she's unsure. Despite her timid beginnings, she's learning quickly and showing her playful side especially when she's running alongside other dogs during their games. Jersey absolutely adores other dogs and looks to them for guidance, comfort, and confidence. A resident dog in her future home is a must to help her continue to grow. She has shown a strong preference for women and can be shy or fearful with men. Gentle, slow introductions and patience will be important for any male family members or visitors. Due to her nervous nature and high prey drive, she would do best in an adult only home or one with older, dog-savvy children. When she first arrived, walks were scary, now they're one of her favorite activities, especially with a confident canine friend by her side. Toys are still new and confusing to her, but she loves being part of the fun by chasing and running with the other dogs. Jersey would do best if she could live in a home with another confident dog that can show her what a joyful life looks like. This sweet girl has come so far from the frightened dog who first stepped into her foster home. With the right family, a calm home, a confident dog companion, and people who understand her sensitive soul Jersey will continue to bloom into a loving, loyal companion. The details: Need fence?
