Diesel needs an active home where someone truly gets herding breeds and everything that comes with their high energy and sharp minds. He thrives on activity—fetch, swimming, wrestling with other young, energetic dogs—and he’s happiest when he’s got a job to do or a toy in his mouth. Diesel is a Border Collie/Sheltie/Australian Shepherd mix who should mature to around 30lbs. Physically fenced yard is non-negotiable, as he’s a skilled escape artist and won’t do well tied out or relying on leashes alone. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and does well with other dogs, cats, and children. Diesel will only be a good fit for someone with real herding breed experience, ideally looking for a companion to train in agility, rally, or similar activities. He can be a little hesitant around new people at first, but once he settles in, he’s ready for anything.
